The winners of the 5th annual Resort and Retreat Awards 2021 proudly hosted by LUXLife magazine have been announced.

We are so thrilled to hear that we have won this award. Our resort runs on team effort, amazing staff and of course you the guest. After such a long hard 2020, and a slow start to 2021, this award comes at a time, when recognition is most needed. The wave of excitement from this win will carry us through the rest of this year.
About Us:
Areena Riverside Resort runs along the banks of the Kwelera River, a tidal river abundant with fish. The flora along the river, made up of cycads and aloes, makes a stunning backdrop when cruising along the river, or taking a leisurely paddle in a canoe. The river stretch runs for about 5kms to the mouth at the Yellow Sands Beach.
The luxury timber chalet units are on the river’s edge, making full use of the river views afforded to them. These units sleep 4 persons each, and are fully equipped for self-catering. Riverview decks are the perfect place to enjoy sundowners or your morning coffee. Tranquillity and peace will surround you while staying on the river. Enjoy the sounds of the Fish Eagle calling as it flies above the river looking for prey below.
