Couples special is back by popular demand! May, June, July and August are going to be the month of love, rejuvenation and reconnecting with your partner. It starts with enjoying a weekend at Areena Riverside Resort. Where you will enjoy some relaxation, beautiful nature and make memories together.
Our double en suite apartments which are fully equipped for self-catering and beautifully appointed will be your home for the weekend. King size beds, percale linen, marble counters and lovely views are just some of the highlights you will enjoy. Sumptuous breakfast to start your day on both Saturday and Sunday is included in your package.
Weekend Entertainment
To keep you entertained during your stay, a 20 min quad bike safari and a half day canoe hire makes up the complete couples special. The 20 min quad bike safari takes you for a wonderful game viewing experience to get close up and personal to our animals in the private game reserve. You may even get to meet Abby our semi tame giraffe.
Enjoy a scenic paddle down the Kwelera River in our two man kayaks. You will see beautiful flora, like cycads, aloes and even a few buck along the banks of the river. Life jackets are part of the canoe hire. You can pack a picnic to enjoy along the river as you paddle, or stop at the mouth of the river, at Yellow Sands Beach for a swim and beach picnic.
The Couples Special will be running for May, June, July and August 2024, to beat the winter blues. Everyone needs a break from the stresses of the world, and Areena Riverside Resort is the place to be. You will feel rejuvenated, and re-energized after your weekend with us.

Remember when as a kid you could safely play outdoors and have fun? Well, at Areena Riverside Resort, your kids can and they love the freedom! Kids can be kids, swim in the river or swimming pool, climb trees, ride their bikes, and be safe.
Our large playground has a trampoline, roundabout, swings, slides, and a treehouse for the adventurous. Our second playground is near the Riverside Restaurant for those wanting to have a cup of coffee while the kids play. The fenced-in swimming pool area has a giant chess board to learn the game of chess, between swimming sessions. Don’t forget to pack their bicycles, the kids love to ride from one end of the park to the next with their new friends.
