Couples special is back by popular demand! May, June, July and August are going to be the month of love, rejuvenation and reconnecting with your partner. It starts with enjoying a weekend at Areena Riverside Resort. Where you will enjoy some relaxation, beautiful nature and make memories together.
Our double en suite apartments which are fully equipped for self-catering and beautifully appointed will be your home for the weekend. King size beds, percale linen, marble counters and lovely views are just some of the highlights you will enjoy. Sumptuous breakfast to start your day on both Saturday and Sunday is included in your package. Depending on lockdown restrictions, your breakfast will be either in your suite or at the Areena Quays Restaurant.
Weekend Entertainment
To keep you entertained during your stay, a 20 min quad bike safari and a half day canoe hire makes up the complete couples special. The 20 min quad bike safari takes you for a wonderful game viewing experience to get close up and personal to our animals in the private game reserve. You may even get to meet Abby our semi tame giraffe.
Enjoy a scenic paddle down the Kwelera River in our two man kayaks. You will see beautiful flora, like cycads, aloes and even a few buck along the banks of the river. Life jackets are part of the canoe hire. You can pack a picnic to enjoy along the river as you paddle, or stop at the mouth of the river, at Yellow Sands Beach for a swim and beach picnic.
The Couples Special will be running for May, June, July and August 2022, to beat the winter blues. Everyone needs a break from the stresses of the world, and Areena Riverside Resort is the place to be. You will feel rejuvenated, and re-energized after your weekend with us.

Love camping? So do we! Our river resort, is one of the best hidden gems you will find this year, and you will definitely want to add us to your list of favourite camping destinations. Book our July Junior Jubilee Camping Special and the kids stay free, with 2 paying adults.
Our sites are large, with ample space for your caravan, or tent set up. We have lovely scenic riverside sites, as well as no river sites. Some of our sites have a slab for your caravan or camper van to park on. Our communal ablutions with hot water, are spread throughout the resort and are cleaned daily. A braai stand with a grid are on all sites, as well as a standard electricity point. Self-service laundry facilities are available for campers to use, with both washing machines, tumble driers and wash basins.
Beautiful river views, birdwatching and kids paradise awaits you. Our two playgrounds for the young campers, are a hit, with trampoline, swings, slides and a tree house, they will be entertained for hours. Bring their bicycles for added fun.
Enjoy boating on our river, with many jetties available for you to tie up your boat, you will spend many hours on the tidal Kwelera River, with great fishing opportunities.
