ABOUT CANOEING & SUP
Stand up paddle boarding on the Kwelera River as well as canoeing on the river are both available to enjoy from the adventure village. You can hire a SUP (Stand up Paddle board) or a two man canoe or kayak for a morning or afternoon of river fun.
Areena Riverside Resort is situated on the banks of the Kwelera tidal River, a mere 5 km from the river mouth. You will find a lovely beach, Yellow Sands, a popular and well known surf spot, easily accessible by canoe from our family holiday resort. There is nothing quite like the view going down the river on a relaxing paddle.
You can fish, birdwatch or just enjoy the scenery as you reconnect with nature on the river and soak up the sun.
