To help you look and feel refreshed, nothing compares to the skin-softening, head-to-toe pleasure of a professional body polishing scrub. Enjoy the luminous glow achieved with the exfoliation. A body polish can be described as a “facial for the body.”
What exactly is an exfoliation and polish you ask?
Your skin sheds dead skin cells every 30 days to create place for new ones. Dead cells don’t always shed fully. Exfoliating is the process of utilizing a chemical or granular substance, to remove dead skin cells from the surface of your skin for instance.
The abrasive product, the ‘scrub’, is rubbed and massaged firmly into your skin before being rinsed away. After that revealing a moisturised layer of fresh, clean, and smooth skin.
A body polish, like a body scrub, is intended to exfoliate dead skin cells and hydrate the skin. A body polish is not intended to clean however. The body scrub, does the cleanse and exfoliation.
At Areena Spa we use the Healing Earth Range. Made from the purest natural active ingredients. Above all, not tested on animals.
Healing Earth Pinotage Body Polish is our best choice.
The gentle cream-based exfoliator has a refreshing scent of eucalyptus. Deep nourishment from shea butter, beeswax and pinotage oil combine with light grapeseed and apricot kernel granules. Together all stimulate and exfoliate the skin. After that leaving a lasting hydrated and even skin tone. Perfect for use before tanning.
Shea Butter -with its highly concentrated source of fatty acids and vitamins, it is pure hydration and nourishment for the skin. In other words boosting anti-inflammatory and skin healing properties.
Crushed grape seed and Apricot Kernel – crushed seeds and kernels provide a nonabrasive effective skin exfoliation. Natural granules are gentle on the skin and do not contain any artificial beads which could harm the planet for instance.
Orange – a brightening and uplifting extract which stimulates the skin increasing vitamin c levels. Thereby regenerating new skin cell formation
and evening out the skin complexion.
Eucalyptus – a stimulating oil which is anti-inflammatory and analgesic. In addition to assisting in relaxing muscles and stimulating the body.
I can recommend a Polishing scrub, to get yourself ready for summer.
